Bill slips during Seattle reign; pack shifts forward
Few individual changes in mostly un-wild weekend.

Perhaps the wisdom of the FMNFLP playoff contestants will manifest over the next few weeks, and the non-qualifying idiot-experts here at Weekly Recap will be enlightened soon.  But in the meantime, Funkyfans half-snoozed through another week of half-inspired picks, and wondered if anybody is ever going to make a legitimate move at Bill Ellis.  The normally creative SchussDaddy’s picks were so tame, he was eliminated at kickoff Saturday morning; and JLee, who has been heard to say that “second place is the same as last place” attacked Bill Ellis from 49 back by picking all four favorites.
	
Even more inexplicable, Bill Ellis—the dominant leader who was expected to ride the Vegas line—chose to get a little frisky and pick the RoadRedskins, not-so-heroically led by the journeyman Guy Collins.  Was Bill caught up in mind games with the pack behind him, and trying to cover their likely upset pick?  Or did he really think the Redskins were going to win in Seattle?  In any case, whereas he would have expanded his already huge lead by just picking the spread, Bill gave up 17 points to JLee’s standard Seahawk pick before regaining his even keel.
	
Tully Wyatt and Kevin Sabbe, meanwhile, were one of the few players to pick all four games correctly.  Scott Farnsworth also swept the weekend, but still fell short of advancing to the next round.  Wyatt moved up to 6th place, and is now certainly in range of making the Final Four.  Sabbe continued his Hollywood-like run, going from 14th place in Week 10 to a present-day 3rd place, just 18 points behind JLee and certainly a sniper’s shot from Bill Ellis.
	
Bill’s uncharacteristic 9th place finish allowed the mass of the pool to shift forward, but on an individual level, nothing of note happened during Wild Card weekend.  The four players who entered the playoffs in the last four spots (Farnsworth, KenDoggie, Chris Sabbe, and Schuss) all exited the playoffs in the last four spots.  The only shift in the front four spots was Kevin Sabbe’s replacement of Robert Hassanali, who fell to fifth.

With little to lose, Jennaroo and the Wyatts are expected to finally show some serious aggression in an attempt to not simply make the Final Four, but get within a three game’s shot of catching The Banker.  The more serious contenders (Hassanali, Mr. Emerton, Kevin, and JLee) will have to deal with the classic dilemma: Attack the leader, or protect from the snipers from behind?  
	
Adding to the intrigue, Mr. Emerton’s Giants are going to be in Dallas.  The Godfather usually allows rational thought to dominate his fanaticism, but he gained big points in Tampa Bay this weekend.  Bill Ellis will also (we assume) be riding his Packers, giving anyone in the pool an automatic chance to gain serious points if they want to risk their chance at the Slate on RoadSeahawks. 
	In all four games next week, the favorite is favored by more than a touchdown, which means one thing:  Big points could be available all over the map, whether picking the underdog to win, or picking the bully to win huge.  

Will anybody bet on the Patriots?  (Godsey is putting $100 on the Jag if JLee does it for him)
Will anybody gamble on a. repeat from RoadRivers? (Godsey is driving down south to watch it with his brother and nephew).
Will anybody profit if Bill’s Pack collapses?
Will Mr. E live and die with his G-Men?  Will anybody?
