Don't forget Speed Racer!
Salvatori makes late move in otherwise forgettable week
-----------------
In a week in which an astounding four different poolsters forgot to do their picks, Eric Emerton forgot to switch helmets, and the Weekly Recap forgot to do the Weekly Recap, Ron Salvatori hit the pedal and made his last run at the Slate, winning the week by 10 points. In the process, Mr. Racer went from 8th place (in the 60's) to 7th place (49 back), picking up 27 points on former 7th-placer Zack Schwartz and 16 points on the leader, Mike Godsey.
Overall, there is little to report. Scott Wyatt finished 3rd for the week, gained 7 points on Godsey, and passed Diane Emerton for 2nd place. Otherwise, Godsey finished in the middle of the pack and so did all the other contenders.
This week!
-------------
With KenDoggie and Adam Jennings forgetting to submit picks, playoff tickets just got thrown into the wind, and we might have some new players at the end of tomorrow. Meanwhile, Godsey surprisingly broke down and finally went back to his old Giant-hating days and is leading the charge with the Cowboys. Giants fans Scott Wyatt and Mr. Emerton, of course, refused to engage in such fanatic stupidity, and along with Diane Emerton, the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place players were the only three to have fewer than 1,000 dots on the games (translation: their picks are the closest to the Vegas line).
Other games of note:
------------
Kathy's Broncos (a 6) at Diane's Panthers (a 14)
Kevin's Vikings (a 2) at Wyatt's Cardinals (a full boat)
Eric Emerton and Bill Ellis with a 9 and 7 on the Bengals.
See ya then...
