In a first for FunkyOddsMakers, we are not taking any bets for Eric Franzen to win the 2007 Slate. He has finished in the Bottom 5 for EACH of the past 4 years, including one BASEMENT and two 2nd to BASEMENT finishes. He's only scraped into the playoffs once and frankly, we tried to type in 1 googleplex : 1 for odds but the World GDP couldn't pay off, even if someone bet a penny. You heard it here first - he's not winning the Slate this year. Inspiration or Snub? You make the call.

Personal Tidbits:
At our last Franzen sighting he was roaming the streets of Fremont, California trying to find an arcade that had Cyberball. Godsey has reported receiving calls from him at 2am citing "Dude, you gotta drive up here, I just found the place with Cyberball, Galaga, AND Tempest." Recent reports have Franzen running some engineering outfit in the East Bay but the jury is still out on the former Calculus phenom. In his spare time, he's still rebounding 27 boards a contest in local pickup games.
